Job Description
Hiring: Lead Electrical Design Engineer
Location: Bangalore, Karnataka
We are seeking an experienced Lead Electrical Design Engineer to join our Engineering team for EPC projects in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and Water Treatment sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead electrical engineering activities from FEED through detailed engineering and project handover.
- Prepare and review Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment datasheets.
- Perform and validate Load Flow, Short Circuit, Motor Starting, Relay Coordination, Cable Sizing, Lighting & Earthing, Battery, and UPS calculations.
- Develop substation layouts, cable schedules, material take-offs (MTOs), and electrical design documentation.
- Review vendor documents, support procurement, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ensure compliance with IEC, IEEE, NFPA, IS, and ATEX/IECEx standards.
Required Skills
- Strong experience in Electrical Design Engineering for EPC projects.
- Expertise in SLDs, FEED, Cable Sizing, Lighting & Earthing Design, Motor Starting Analysis, and Hazardous Area Engineering.
- Hands-on experience with ETAP, SmartPlant Electrical (SPEL), AutoCAD, and Revit.
- Strong leadership, communication, and vendor/client coordination skills.
