Define and manage the project strategy to align with business objectives for increased power reliability and efficiency.
Develop and oversee a comprehensive project roadmap, covering feasibility, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover.
Serve as the primary liaison between executive leadership, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
Conduct indepth technical, ficial, and risk assessments to validate project feasibility.
Oversee preproject activities, including site selection, land acquisition, environmental impact studies, and legal clearances.
Collaborate with technical experts to identify optimal technological solutions for efficiency and costeffectiveness.
Develop a master project schedule using tools such as Primavera P6 or MS Project, ensuring synchronization of all project phases.
Lead the creation of a detailed work breakdown structure (WBS) and scope definition.
Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions for any deviations from the schedule.
Prepare and manage the project budget, ensuring adherence to ficial constraints while maintaining high standards.
Implement cost control systems to track expenditures, manage cash flow, and forecast ficial needs.
Identify and pursue costsaving opportunities through optimized resource allocation and procurement.
Oversee the procurement process for materials, equipment, and services, ensuring compliance with project specifications and timelines.
Evaluate bids, negotiate contracts, and finalize agreements with vendors and contractors.
Establish and manage supplier performance systems, focusing on quality and safety.
Ensure accuracy and alignment of all engineering designs with project goals.
Conduct crossdisciplinary design reviews to ensure integration and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Lead construction activities, coordinating civil, mechanical, and electrical workstreams according to approved designs.
Enforce quality control, resource management, and safety protocols onsite.
Monitor construction progress, addressing delays and ensuring adherence to safety and environmental regulations.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive risk management framework to identify, assess, and mitigate project risks.
Implement risk mitigation strategies, including contingency planning and schedule optimization.
Lead risk assessment meetings to address challenges and adjust action plans as necessary.
Oversee commissioning processes, ensuring thorough testing, validation, and certification of systems.
Develop and implement commissioning procedures for system startup and handover to operations.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of all commissioning documentation.
Ensure compliance with all relevant local and international regulations, obtaining necessary permits and certifications.
Engage with regulatory authorities to meet statutory requirements.
Build and lead a highperforming project team, fostering collaboration and open communication.
Maintain regular communication with senior management and stakeholders, providing updates on project progress, risks, and budget.
Maintain and manage all project documentation, including contracts, design documents, change orders, and ficial records.
Deliver detailed progress and ficial reports to senior management, including risk assessments and resource allocations.
Job Brief
The CPP Head is responsible for endtoend leadership, execution, and successful delivery of the 150 MW thermal power plant project.
This role involves managing all aspects of planning, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and integration of the plant with the 300 MW renewable energy system.
The CPP Head ensures the project meets all objectives related to costefficiency, operational reliability, safety, regulatory compliance, and timely completion, while also driving excellence in execution.
Area of Relevant Experience
Experience managing complex, largescale infrastructure projects, particularly in thermal power plants.
Indepth knowledge of engineering design, procurement, and construction management for thermal and hybrid power plants.
Proven track record in budget control, procurement management, and vendor negotiation.
Skilled in managing vendor contracts, tracking project deliverables, and ensuring adherence to project goals.
Proficient in managing budgets, controlling project costs, and identifying costsaving opportunities.
Indepth knowledge of safety and environmental regulations in the power sector

Specialisation
Education: Bachelor s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Advanced degree in Project Management or MBA preferred.
Experience: 15+ years in largescale power plant project management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Atleast 1 end to end power project completion experience.
Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certifications in project management preferred.
