Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. 8+ years of experience in systems programming and development of low-level, performance-critical software. Proven experience working with file system internals, operating system kernels, or storage systems, preferably in a cross-platform environment (Windows, macOS, Linux). Strong programming expertise in: C++ (advanced level), including deep understanding of STL and modern C++ standards C Working knowledge of Java and JavaScript for tooling, UI, or auxiliary components Familiarity with Boost libraries and their application in systems-level development Solid understanding of: Memory management, concurrency, multithreading, and synchronization primitives Low-level I/O operations and OS-level abstractions Advanced debugging and diagnostics skills using: WinDBG, gdb, LLDB Kernel and application memory dump analysis Distributed tracing and log analysis Performance profiling and optimization experience with: Intel VTune Performance Analyzer Intel Parallel Amplifier DTrace, SystemTap Strong ability to troubleshoot complex, cross-layer issues involving kernel, user-space, and network components Experience reproducing and diagnosing customer-reported issues across different platforms and environments Solid analytical skills for interpreting logs, crash dumps, and system traces. Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Design, develop, and maintain a cross-platform client application that integrates with a custom distributed file system across Windows, macOS, and Linux environments. Implement and enhance low-level file system interactions, including: Windows kernel-mode and user-mode file system drivers (e.g., filter drivers, mini-filters) macOS kernel extensions (KEXT) / system extensions / File Provider integrations Linux FUSE-based drivers and kernel interfaces Build and optimize file system abstractions, ensuring consistent behavior, performance, and reliability across operating systems. Develop features related to: File synchronization and caching Metadata management and consistency Network communication with distributed storage backends Error handling and resiliency in unreliable network conditions Collaborate with backend and infrastructure teams to integrate client behavior with distributed storage protocols and APIs.
