Architect, design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable and secure APIs using Apigee Edge, Apigee X and Apigee Hybrid platforms.
Lead API lifecycle management including API productization, versioning, governance, and developer portal integration.
Implement and enforce API security measures such as OAuth 2.

0 , JWT , mTLS , API key validation, threat protection and access control.
Design and configure API gateways, proxies, policies, shared flows, traffic management (quotas, spike arrest), caching, and mediation.
Collaborate with solution architects, product owners, backend teams, and DevOps to ensure seamless API integration with microservices and backend systems.
Drive CI/CD automation for API deployments and configuration using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, etc

Monitor, troubleshoot, performance-tune APIs, and respond to production escalations with root cause analysis.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to mid and junior developers and contribute to architectural decisions.
Maintain API documentation and best practice guides for internal and external stakeholders.
Required Skills and Experience

10 12+ years of hands-on experience in API development, integration, and management.
Strong expertise with Apigee Edge, Apigee X , and Apigee Hybrid platforms and API lifecycle tools.
Deep understanding of RESTful API design principles , OpenAPI/Swagger, JSON, XML, and best API practices.
Proven experience implementing API security, authentication, authorization, and encryption.
Proficient in programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python or Node.

Experience with microservices architecture, backend integration, and cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) , AWS, or Azure.
Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation, containerization (Docker), and Kubernetes.
