Job Description
Yard Operations Management
- Manage complete yard operations including vehicle placement, movement, loadingunloading coordination, dispatch planning, and turnaround time.
- Ensure proper yard utilization and systematic parking of vehicles.
- Monitor daily inbound and outbound vehicle movement.
- Coordinate with transporters, operations teams, and warehouse teams for seamless execution.
- Maintain yard discipline, operational efficiency, and adherence to SOPs.

- Fleet Vehicle Management
- Oversee vehicle availability and fleet utilization.
- Ensure timely vehicle servicing, preventive maintenance, repairs, and breakdown management.
- Monitor vehicle fitness, permits, insurance, PUC, and statutory compliance.
- Coordinate with vendorsworkshops for maintenance activities and cost optimization.
- Track fuel consumption, mileage, and vehicle performance.

- Driver Management
- Handle end-to-end driver operations including roster management, attendance, allocation, and shift planning.
- Ensure driver availability as per business requirements.
- Monitor driver behaviour, discipline, safety compliance, and performance.
- Resolve driver grievances and operational issues on priority.
- Conduct regular briefing sessions on safety and operational guidelines.

- Operational Coordination
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and customers for timely execution of shipments.
- Ensure adherence to delivery timelines and operational KPIs.
- Handle escalation management and provide quick resolution to operational challenges.
- Maintain operational MIS reports and daily dashboards.

- Safety Compliance
- Ensure compliance with safety norms, statutory requirements, and company policies.
- Conduct regular yard inspections and safety audits.
- Ensure proper implementation of EHS guidelines within the yard premises.
- Maintain records related to incidents, damages, and compliance documentation.

- Team Management
- Supervise yard supervisors, drivers, and support staff.
- Drive team productivity and operational excellence.
- Train and mentor operational staff on process improvements and safety standards.

- Strong knowledge of yard and fleet operations.
- Good understanding of vehicle maintenance and transport operations.
- Ability to manage large driver fleets and field teams.
- Strong coordination and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Hands-on experience in MIS reporting and operational tracking.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple operational activities simultaneously.
