Job Description
Position: Law Officer Real Estate
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced legal professional with expertise in Real Estate Laws, Regulatory Frameworks, and Government Policies, particularly in Karnataka. The role involves providing legal and policy support to the organisation, coordinating with industry experts, Government authorities, and legal professionals, and assisting in matters affecting the real estate sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal guidance on Real Estate Laws, Rules, Regulations, Government Policies, and statutory approvals relating to residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.
- Prepare legal notes, policy briefs, reports, and analytical papers on industry-related matters.
- Draft and review representations, memorandum, policy recommendations, and correspondence to Government Departments, Regulatory Authorities, Planning Authorities, and other statutory bodies.
- Liaise with Government Departments and Regulatory Authorities on policy, regulatory, and industry-related issues.
- Monitor and analyse legislative developments, Notifications, Circulars, Amendments, Case Laws, and Policy Changes impacting the real estate sector, and circulate timely updates.
- Coordinate with senior industry members, legal committee, and empanelled advocates to obtain legal opinions and formulate representations.
- Address legal and regulatory queries from members and provide practical guidance based on applicable laws and judicial precedents.
- Sound knowledge of RERA, Karnataka Town & Country Planning Act, Municipal Laws, BBMP/BDA/BMRDA regulations, Revenue Laws, Registration & Stamp Acts, Land Acquisition Laws, GST, and other allied laws applicable to the real estate sector.

Qualification
- LLB/LLM from a recognised University.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Real Estate Laws, Regulatory Affairs, or legal practice related to the real estate/infrastructure sector.
