Job Summary
Job Description - PHP Laravel Developer (2-3 Years Experience). Position: PHP Laravel Developer. Experience: 2-3 Years. Employment Type: Full-Time. Location: Kolkata / Hybrid. We are looking for a PHP Laravel Developer with 2-3 years of experience to join our development team. The candidate should have strong hands-on experience in PHP and Laravel, good knowledge of MySQL, REST APIs, and Laravel's MVC architecture, along with a willingness to learn and work on new technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance web applications using PHP and Laravel.
- Build and integrate RESTful APIs with frontend and third-party systems.
- Develop reusable, scalable, and maintainable code.
- Work with MySQL and write optimized SQL queries.
- Use Laravel Eloquent ORM, migrations, relationships, validation, middleware, and authentication.
- Debug application issues and resolve production defects.
- Participate in requirement analysis, development, testing, and deployment.
- Perform code reviews and follow coding standards and best practices.
- Optimize application performance and database queries.
- Work closely with frontend developers, QA, Business Analysts, and Project Managers.
- Maintain technical documentation where required.
- Learn and adopt new frameworks, tools, and technologies as required.
Requirements
- PHP / Laravel
- Strong knowledge of PHP 7/8+
- Good hands-on experience with Laravel
- Understanding of MVC architecture
- Good knowledge of OOP concepts
- Experience with Laravel Middleware, Eloquent, Migrations, Validation, Events, Queues, and Artisan
- Knowledge of authentication and authorization
- Database: Good knowledge of MySQL
- Strong understanding of SQL queries, joins, indexes, and relationships
- Experience with database optimization is an advantage
- API Web Technologies: Hands-on experience developing REST APIs
- Good understanding of HTTP methods and status codes
- Knowledge of JSON and API authentication
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Tools: Git/Bitbucket/GitHub
- Familiarity with Postman or similar API testing tools
- Basic understanding of Linux/server environments is an advantage
- Good to Have: Experience with Laravel queues and scheduled jobs
- Knowledge of Redis or caching mechanisms
- Experience with third-party API integrations
- Understanding of Docker or CI/CD
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure/AWS
- Basic knowledge of React/Angular or any frontend framework
- Experience with performance optimization and application security
