Land Surveyor - Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Land Surveyor to carry out land surveys for our agricultural farmland development projects. The role involves conducting topographical and boundary surveys, preparing survey reports and layouts, verifying land measurements, supporting land acquisition and development activities, and ensuring accurate demarcation of plots and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

1. Land Survey & Measurement

• Conduct boundary, topographical, contour, and layout surveys of agricultural land.
• Perform accurate land measurements for land acquisition, plotting, and development.
• Demarcate plot boundaries, internal roads, common amenities, and utility areas as per approved layouts.
• Verify survey data and resolve boundary-related discrepancies.

2. Project Support

• Assist in land development planning by providing accurate survey data.
• Coordinate with Project, Legal, CRM, and Site teams for plot demarcation and customer site visits.
• Support land registration and possession activities by providing measurement records and survey reports.
• Assist in identifying encroachments and boundary-related issues.

3. Survey Equipment & Mapping

• Operate Total Station, DGPS, Auto Level, GPS, and other modern surveying instruments.
• Prepare survey drawings, contour maps, and layout plans.
• Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of surveying equipment.
• Maintain digital records of survey data and drawings.

4. Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly survey reports.
• Maintain records of survey observations, field books, measurements, and coordinates.
• Prepare as-built drawings and update project layouts after site execution.
• Submit reports and survey data to management in a timely manner.

5. Compliance & Coordination

• Ensure survey work complies with approved layouts and applicable regulations.
• Coordinate with government authorities, licensed surveyors, and revenue officials when required.
• Maintain accuracy and confidentiality of survey records.
• Follow company safety procedures during field operations.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of land surveying principles and measurement techniques.
• Proficiency in operating Total Station, DGPS, GPS, Auto Level, and surveying equipment.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, GIS, and Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to read and interpret survey maps, layout plans, and engineering drawings.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively to project sites.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Survey Engineering, Geomatics, or a related field.
• 2 to 5 years of experience in land surveying, preferably in agricultural farmland, plotted developments, or real estate projects.
• Experience working with land records and property demarcation will be preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in agricultural farmland development and plotted land projects.
• Familiarity with Maharashtra land records, survey procedures, and revenue maps.
• Knowledge of contour surveys, road alignment, irrigation layouts, and infrastructure planning.
• Experience coordinating with government survey departments and revenue authorities.
