Job Summary
To collect samples, study them, perform tests and give out timely reports in accordance to the protocols and maintain hygiene in the laboratory.

- Initial Sampling
- Handling and testing of various samples(blood / urine / stool / sputum etc)
- Assuring personal hygiene by wearing caps, masks, gloves at all times
- Registering each sample after receiving it in the Sample Receiving File
- Cross verification of samples received with that of file data
- In case of any missing sample, taking follow up from that particular floor or department from the file record
- Coordinating with MO for sample received confirmation
- Bifurcating the samples on the basis of sample type (plain/citrate/heparin) and centrifuging them
- After centrifuging, checking of samples with files for carrying out the specific test(biochemical, immunology etc)
- Bifurcating the samples on the basis of tests:
- i) biochemical
- ii) immunology
- iii) For both, perform immunology first and then biochemical
- Pathology Related
- In case of clotted, defective or hymolyzed blood, asking for a repeat sample of the respective patient
- Informing the biomedical
