Role Purpose
The QA/QC Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of quality control operations at the site chemical laboratory. This includes planning daily QC activities, ensuring strict adherence to SOPs, supervising documentation, maintaining compliance, and supporting plant operations through timely and accurate analysis. The role requires leadership in planning, training, documentation, SAP usage, and maintaining a disciplined and safe lab environment.
- Lead standardization, innovation, and continuous improvement in lab operations aligned with quality goals.
- Ensure regulatory compliance, audit readiness, and effective policy implementation.
- Drive efficiency, safety, data integrity, and digitalization (SAP/automation) in QA/QC systems.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and lead training and upskilling initiatives.
Qualifications
Minimum Experience
Masters/bachelors degree in chemistry
- Minimum 5–7 years of hands-on experience in chemical analysis, QA/QC lab management, and regulatory compliance.
- Minimum 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role within an industrial or hazardous waste management laboratory.
Technical Skills
- Proficient in wet chemistry, instrumental methods (e.g., Bomb Calorimeter, Auto titrator, Moisture analyser)
- Understanding of CPCB/SPCB guidelines, ISO 9001, 14001, NABL, and SW-846 methods
- Strong documentation, SOP writing, and audit compliance skills
