Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Legal Team member to join our gaming software product company in India

As a Junior Legal Team member, you will be responsible for providing legal support and assistance across various areas, including intellectual property (IP), gaming, public policy and advisory, taxation research, legality of fantasy games, and drafting legal documents

Experience in the gaming industry is a plus



Responsibilities:
Conduct legal research and analysis on various topics related to IP, gaming, public policy, taxation, and the legality of fantasy games

Assist in drafting and reviewing legal documents, including contracts, licenses, and agreements

Support the legal team in managing and protecting the companys intellectual property rights, including trademarks, copyrights, and patents

Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends pertaining to gaming and the fantasy games sector

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure legal compliance and provide legal advice on business initiatives and strategies

Assist in preparing legal opinions, memos, and presentations for internal stakeholders

Support the legal team in handling any legal disputes or issues that may arise, including coordinating with external counsel when necessary

Conduct due diligence and assist in the evaluation of potential business partnerships, collaborations, or acquisitions

Assist in monitoring and assessing regulatory developments and policy changes that may impact the gaming industry

Stay informed about best practices and industry standards in the gaming and software development sectors



Requirements:
Bachelors degree in law (LLB or equivalent)

Prior experience or strong interest in the gaming industry is highly desirable

Familiarity with intellectual property laws and concepts

Good understanding of regulatory frameworks related to gaming and fantasy games

Strong legal research and analytical skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong attention to detail

Proficiency in drafting legal documents and contracts

Knowledge of tax laws and regulations is a plus

Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
