Job Description

Junior Legal Associate Real Estate
Location: Lavelle Road, Bengaluru


Job Role

To support the legal team in handling real estate documentation, title verification, registrations, compliance, and litigation-related activities while assisting senior legal professionals in day-to-day operations.


Experience

  • 02 years of relevant experience in real estate legal work.
  • Fresh LL.B graduates with a strong interest in real estate law are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

Title Due Diligence Support

  • Assist in collecting, reviewing, and organizing property-related documents.
  • Maintain and update title flow records and ownership history.
  • Support senior associates during title verification and due diligence processes.

Legal Drafting

  • Prepare preliminary drafts of legal documents, including Sale Agreements, Joint Development Agreements (JDAs), General Power of Attorney (GPA), Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs), and other transaction documents.
  • Format, proofread, and maintain legal documentation to ensure accuracy and consistency.

Documentation & Record Management

  • Maintain organized physical and digital legal records.
  • Track pending documents and coordinate timely follow-ups with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure proper documentation and record maintenance for all transactions.

Registration & Liaison

  • Coordinate with Sub-Registrar Offices and other government authorities for document registration.
  • Assist in the execution, registration, and post-registration documentation process.
  • Follow up on statutory requirements and registration formalities.

Litigation Support

  • Coordinate with external advocates on ongoing legal matters.
  • Assist in organizing case files, legal documents, and supporting records for litigation.

Skills Required

  • Basic understanding of real estate title verification and property documentation.
  • Good legal drafting, documentation, and proofreading skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently while following guidance from senior legal professionals.
  • Effective communication and coordination skills.

Educational Qualification

  • LL.B. Mandatory
  • LL.M. Preferred

Technical Knowledge

Working knowledge of Karnataka real estate documentation, including:

  • Sale Deed
  • Encumbrance Certificate (EC)
  • Record of Rights, Tenancy and Crops (RTC)
  • Khata

Basic understanding of:

  • Property registration procedures
  • Stamp duty and registration charges
  • Real estate documentation and compliance processes

Language Requirements

  • Kannada Mandatory
  • English Mandatory
