Junior Data Scientist

Role Overview:

• We are looking for a Junior Data Scientist with 3 to 5 years of experience to analyze large datasets, build predictive models, and generate actionable insights.
• The ideal candidate has experience with Python, SQL, and data visualization tools, along with a strong foundation in statistics and machine learning.
• This is an office-based role from Kolkata requiring close collaboration with cross-functional teams to derive actionable insights and support business growth.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Utilize Python programming skills to analyze data and generate actionable insights supporting business objectives.
• Develop reports, dashboards, and visualizations using Python libraries (e.g., Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly).
• Working Experience in developing Machine Learning models.
• Query data from multiple servers using SQL and employ advanced data manipulation techniques for analysis.
• Perform thorough data analysis, validation, and mapping using Advanced Excel to ensure data integrity.
• Collaborate with data scientists and IT teams to develop tailored analytical solutions.
• Continuously optimize analytical processes and algorithms to drive innovation.
• Engage with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into analytical solutions.
• Maintain and enhance the existing Python codebase, ensuring quality and scalability.
• Implement best practices for code documentation, version control, and testing.

Desired Candidate Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of proven experience in data analysis or related roles.
• Proficiency in Python programming language, with experience in data manipulation libraries such as Pandas and NumPy.
• Strong SQL skills, including the ability to write complex queries for data extraction and analysis.
• Strong experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar) 6.
• Strong Experience in Machine Learning Models.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
