Junior Azure DevOps Engineer

Job Description

Position Overview:

We are a growing start up seeking a Junior Azure DevOps Engineer with 2 to 3 years of experience to support our Azure cloud environment. The role involves managing Azure App Services, maintaining Azure DevOps Pipelines and Git repositories and assisting with Microsoft 365 administration. The successful candidate will also support Azure PostgreSQL databases, networking configurations, domain management, and cloud cost monitoring using Azure Cost Management tools.

Position Title: Junior Azure DevOps Engineer

Job Classification: Full-time, Monday to Saturday, excluding 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month

Hours: 48 hours per week (40 hours on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month)

Reports To: Team Manager and Senior Backend Developer

Location: Fully Remote (Bring your own device)

Key Responsibilities:

• Support deployment and management of applications hosted on Azure App Services.
• Maintain and enhance Azure DevOps Pipelines and manage source code using Git.
• Assist in configuration and administration of Microsoft 365 services.
• Manage and support Azure PostgreSQL databases, including monitoring and maintenance.
• Assist with setup and maintenance of Azure Networking (VNets, security groups, connectivity).
• Monitor cloud usage and assist with cost optimization using Azure Cost Management tools.
• Support domain and DNS management for internal and external systems.
• Troubleshoot deployment, infrastructure, and application-related issues.
• Work closely with development and operations teams to ensure stable and reliable environments.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 2 to 3 years of experience in a DevOps, cloud, or systems administration role.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, particularly Azure App Services.
• Practical knowledge of Azure DevOps Pipelines and Git source control.
• Basic administration experience with Microsoft 365.
• Familiarity with Azure PostgreSQL or other relational databases.
• Understanding of Azure networking concepts such as VNets, subnets, and security configurations.
• Exposure to Azure Cost Management and resource optimization.
• Experience with domain management and DNS configuration.
• Detail-minded, strong English communication and problem-solving skills.
