Examining patients and performing diagnostic tests to diagnose medical conditions. Prescribing medications and treatments to manage and treat illnesses and injuries. Developing and implementing patient care plans to improve patient health. Providing preventive care and health education to patients. Referring patients to specialists for further testing and treatment as needed. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, such as nurses and specialists, to coordinate patient care. Keeping detailed and accurate medical records for each patient. Educating patients and their families about on the health issues and treatment options.
