Role Overview

We are looking for a Jira Integration Engineer to design, develop, and maintain integrations between Jira and various enterprise applications. The ideal candidate should have strong experience with Jira administration, REST APIs, automation, and integration technologies to streamline workflows and improve operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain integrations between Jira and enterprise systems such as ServiceNow, Azure DevOps, SAP, Salesforce, GitHub, and Microsoft Teams.
• Configure and customize Jira workflows, screens, fields, permissions, and automation rules.
• Develop and consume REST APIs for bi-directional data synchronization.
• Implement Jira Automation, ScriptRunner, and custom scripts to automate business processes.
• Troubleshoot integration issues and ensure high availability and performance.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Maintain integration documentation, deployment procedures, and support knowledge articles.
• Monitor and enhance data quality, security, and compliance across integrated systems.
• Support Jira Cloud/Data Center upgrades and integration-related changes.

Required Skills

• Strong experience with Atlassian Jira (Cloud/Data Center) administration and customization.
• Hands-on experience with REST APIs, Webhooks, and API integrations.
• Proficiency in Java, Groovy, Python, or JavaScript.
• Experience with Jira Automation, ScriptRunner, and Atlassian ecosystem tools.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and software development lifecycle.
• Familiarity with authentication mechanisms such as OAuth, API Tokens, and SSO.
• Experience in troubleshooting and performance optimization.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience integrating Jira with Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, SAP, Salesforce, or GitHub.
• Knowledge of middleware/integration platforms such as MuleSoft, Boomi, or Power Automate.
• Atlassian certifications (ACP-JA, ACP-120, ACP-620) are a plus.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
