Job Description Java Technical Lead (9–12 Years Experience)

Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Java Technical Lead with 9–12 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and delivering enterprise-grade applications. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in Java, Microservices, Spring Boot, cloud technologies, and modern software development practices. The role requires leading a team of developers, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring successful project delivery while maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable and high-performance enterprise applications.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, product owners, and cross-functional teams to define technical solutions.
• Drive application architecture, design reviews, and code quality initiatives.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and Microservices-based applications.
• Participate in requirement analysis, effort estimation, sprint planning, and project execution.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, security guidelines, and best practices.
• Conduct code reviews and establish CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and drive root cause analysis.
• Support cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
• Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge-sharing activities.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 9–12 years of software development experience with strong expertise in Java/J2EE technologies.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a Technical Lead role.
• Strong experience with:
• Java 8/11/17
• Spring Boot
• Spring MVC
• Spring Security
• Hibernate/JPA
• Microservices Architecture
• RESTful Web Services
• Experience with messaging frameworks such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or ActiveMQ.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Strong understanding of design patterns, data structures, and system design principles.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in distributed systems and event-driven architecture.
• Exposure to API Gateway, Service Mesh, and Observability tools.
• Knowledge of Terraform, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and DevOps practices.
• Experience with SonarQube, JUnit, Mockito, and performance tuning.
• Domain experience in Banking, Financial Services, Insurance, Retail, or Healthcare is a plus.

Educational Qualification:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
