Java Technical Lead + AI/ML | Sutherland Global | Chennai

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead with proven experience in AI/ML and Agentic AI technologies, preferably within Accounts Payable, Procurement, and Supplier Portal applications. Responsibilities:

• Lead Java-based solution design and development with a focus on AI/ML integration and Agentic AI-enabled workflows.
• Build intelligent features in Accounts Payable, Procurement, and Supplier Portal systems using AI-driven automation.
• Hands-on development using Java (version 5 or above), Microservices architecture, and Spring Boot framework.
• Design, develop, and deploy web applications and RESTful services with AI-powered components.
• Implement and optimize AI/ML models for invoice processing, supplier analytics, and procurement forecasting.
• Drive the development of Agentic AI features for autonomous decision-making in workflow processing.
• Apply solid Object-Oriented (OO) principles, SOLID design, and clean coding practices.
• Develop robust front-end applications using AngularJS, CSS, HTML5, and ensure seamless UI experiences.
• Build and manage scheduler jobs using the Quartz framework.
• Conduct unit testing (preferably JUnit) and ensure code quality and maintainability.
• Strong expertise in RDBMS and SQL, with the ability to handle large, transactional datasets.
• Collaborate with SMEs, Product Managers, and cross-functional teams to translate AI-driven business needs into technical solutions.
• Mentor development teams and conduct regular code reviews to maintain high technical standards.

Qualifications:

• Graduation/Post-Graduation in Science/Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of strong Java development experience, with at least 2+ years of AI/ML hands-on experience.
• Experience working with Agentic AI or autonomous AI agents in enterprise applications.
• Preferred experience in Accounts Payable, Procurement, or Supplier Portal domains.
• Exposure to building intelligent document processing, invoice data extraction, supplier recommendation engines, or predictive procurement solutions.
• Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and working in global, distributed teams.
• Experience with Oracle/SQL databases, Apache Tomcat, CI/CD pipelines, ETL tools, and Git version control.
• Excellent technical documentation, problem-solving, and team leadership skills.
• Strong ability to manage conflicts and drive technical resolutions.
