Java Spring Boot Developer

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Java Spring Boot Developer with 4+ years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable enterprise applications. The ideal candidate should have strong backend development expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain high-performance Java applications using Spring Boot.
• Develop and consume RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Build scalable, secure, and maintainable backend systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including UI/UX designers, QA engineers, and product managers.
• Optimize application performance and troubleshoot production issues.
• Write clean, reusable, and well-documented code following coding standards and best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical discussions.
• Work with relational and NoSQL databases for application development.
• Integrate third-party APIs and services as required.
• Stay updated with the latest Java ecosystem, frameworks, and development practices.

Required Skills

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in Java application development.
• Strong expertise in Java 8/11/17, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, and Spring Security.
• Good understanding of Microservices architecture.
• Experience with RESTful API development and integration.
• Strong knowledge of SQL databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with Git and version control systems.
• Understanding of Maven or Gradle build tools.
• Knowledge of Docker and containerization is a plus.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Technical

• Redis/caching, message queues (Kafka/SQS), and API integration experience (OAuth, rate limits) for third-party ad platforms
• Awareness of data privacy/security practices (encryption, access control)
• Exposure to monitoring/observability tools (CloudWatch, Grafana, ELK, etc.) for production troubleshooting

Interpersonal

• Ownership mindset comfortable driving a feature end-to-end with ambiguity, in a lean team without heavy process
• Proactive communication flags blockers early, works directly with founders/leadership

Preferred Skills

• Must be proficient in leveraging AI tools (such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, or similar) to improve development productivity and code quality.
• Must be a quick learner with the ability to adapt to new technologies, frameworks, and business requirements.
• Prior experience working in a SaaS (Software as a Service) product company will be an added advantage.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices is preferred.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodologies is desirable.
