Job Summary

We are seeking a Java Production Support Engineer responsible for supporting missioncritical Javabased applications in a production environment. The role involves incident management, rootcause analysis, application monitoring, and ensuring high availability and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 production support for Java/J2EE applications
• Monitor application health, batch jobs, and middleware components
• Handle incident, problem, and change management as per ITIL process
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive fixes
• Troubleshoot issues related to Java, JVM, application servers, databases, and APIs
• Support application deployments, release activities, and postrelease validation
• Work with development teams to fix bugs and improve application stability
• Handle production issues, outages, and escalations
• Support batch jobs, schedulers (ControlM, Autosys, Cron)
• Maintain support documentation, SOPs, and runbooks
• Ensure adherence to SLAs, security, and compliance standards

Required Skills

• Strong handson experience in Java / J2EE
• Experience with Spring, Spring Boot based applications
• Knowledge of Application Servers: Tomcat, WebLogic, WebSphere, JBoss
• Good understanding of SQL and databases (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL)
• Experience in log analysis, performance tuning, JVM monitoring
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix commands
• Experience with monitoring tools (AppDynamics, Splunk, Dynatrace, ELK)
• Understanding of REST APIs, Microservices
• Knowledge of ITIL processes (Incident, Change, Problem Management)
• Ability to work in 24x7 support / shift environment if required

Good to Have

• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, Maven)
• ITIL Certification
• Banking / Financial services domain experience

• 315 years of experience in Java Production/Application Support
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Ability to handle highpressure production environments
