Job Description
Role & responsibilities
Provide L2/L3 production support for Java-based applications.
Monitor application health, troubleshoot production issues, and ensure system stability.
Analyze logs, identify root causes, and resolve application/performance issues.
Handle incident management, problem management, and service requests within SLA timelines.
Work closely with development, infrastructure, and database teams for issue resolution.
Perform bug fixes, minor enhancements, and deployment support activities.
Participate in release activities, production deployments, and post-release validations.
Prepare RCA (Root Cause Analysis) documents for critical incidents.
Support batch jobs, schedulers, and integrations with external systems.
Ensure application availability, reliability, and performance optimization.
Participate in on-call support and rotational shifts if required.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Required Skills
Strong proficiency in Java (Java 8/11/17)
Experience in Payments domain is mandatory
Experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Hibernate/JPA
Good understanding of Microservices architecture
Hands-on experience in REST APIs and Web Services (SOAP/REST)
Experience in production support activities and incident management
Knowledge of Unix/Linux commands and shell scripting
Experience with log analysis tools like Splunk, Kibana, or ELK
Familiarity with monitoring tools such as AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Grafana, or Prometheus
Experience with databases like Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL
Knowledge of Kafka, RabbitMQ, or JMS messaging systems
Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, Maven, or Docker
Understanding of ITIL processes is preferred
Preferred Skills
Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP
Knowledge of Kubernetes and containerized environments
Exposure to automation and scripting tools
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
