Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer with strong experience in Java/Kotlin, AWS, API development, relational databases, CI/CD, Terraform, and event-driven architecture. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams including Frontend, DevOps, QA, Product, UX, and Operations to design and deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance applications.

The engineer will contribute throughout the complete product lifecycle-from technical design and architecture to development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications using Java/Kotlin and AWS.
Build robust RESTful APIs supporting modern front-end applications.
Develop features for collecting, moderating, processing, and delivering user-generated content.
Work closely with ReactJS, DevOps, QA, Product, UX, and other engineering teams.
Participate in technical design, architecture discussions, brainstorming, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
Identify architectural issues, performance bottlenecks, and technical debt and implement effective solutions.
Design and optimize applications working with large relational datasets.
Develop and maintain database schemas, queries, migrations, and DDL automation.
Implement event-driven architectures using technologies such as Kafka, AWS SQS, SNS, Kinesis, or similar platforms.
Apply idempotency, fault tolerance, retry, and distributed-system design patterns.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using CircleCI, GitHub Actions, Drone, or equivalent tools.
Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
Develop containerized applications using Docker and deploy them using AWS ECS, Kubernetes, or similar orchestration platforms.
Work with object and NoSQL/document databases such as AWS S3, DynamoDB, MongoDB, or equivalent technologies.
Implement automated database migrations using Flyway or Liquibase.
Contribute to application monitoring, observability, security, and developer tooling initiatives.
Participate in code reviews and promote clean coding, testing, and engineering best practices.
Contribute to production releases, troubleshooting, maintenance, and continuous improvement.

Mandatory Skills

6+ years of experience in Full Stack Software Development.
Strong hands-on experience with Java and/or Kotlin.
Strong experience with AWS cloud services.
5+ years of experience building REST APIs / backend APIs for front-end applications.
Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and/or MySQL.
Experience handling large datasets and database optimization.
2+ years of experience with CI/CD tools such as CircleCI, GitHub Actions, or Drone.
2+ years of hands-on experience with Terraform / Infrastructure as Code.
Experience with event-driven architecture and messaging technologies such as Kafka, SQS, SNS, Kinesis, or Pub/Sub.
Understanding of idempotent processing and distributed systems.
Experience with Flyway or Liquibase for automated database migrations.
Experience with Docker and containerized applications.
Experience deploying applications using AWS ECS, Kubernetes, or equivalent orchestration platforms.
Experience with Git and modern source-control practices.

Good to Have

Experience with ReactJS or other modern frontend frameworks.
Experience with AWS DynamoDB, S3, MongoDB, or other NoSQL/document databases.
Experience with application monitoring and observability tools.
Knowledge of cloud security and IAM best practices.
Experience with microservices architecture.
Experience with automated testing and TDD/BDD practices.
Knowledge of distributed systems, caching, scalability, and high-availability architectures.
