Java Backend Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain microservices using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot.
• Build high-performance reactive applications using Spring WebFlux.
• Develop and consume RESTful APIs following best practices.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment.
• Deploy and support applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Design and optimize data models across SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Troubleshoot performance, scalability, and production issues.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and Agile ceremonies.

Good to Have

• Kafka or RabbitMQ
• Redis caching
• Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• JUnit/Mockito-based testing
• Observability and monitoring tools

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 4-6 years of software development experience with a strong backend development focus.
• Preferred Domain Experience: Banking, Financial Services, Payments, FinTech, or other large-scale enterprise environments.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in Java 8/11/17
• Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring WebFlux
• Microservices architecture and REST API development
• CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps
• Containerization using Docker
• Container orchestration using Kubernetes
• Experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, etc.)
• Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, etc.)
• Git version control and Agile development practices
