Java AWS Technical Lead

We are looking for an experienced Java AWS Technical Lead with strong expertise in AWS cloud technologies, cloud migration, Java-based application development, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will drive cloud transformation initiatives, guide engineering teams, provide technical leadership, and deliver scalable enterprise-grade solutions on AWS.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and implementation of cloud-native solutions using Java and AWS.
• Drive cloud migration initiatives from on-premise or legacy environments to AWS.
• Guide development teams through story grooming, solution design, technical refinement, and implementation.
• Conduct Proof of Concepts (POCs) and evaluate emerging technologies for business adoption.
• Mentor and support engineering teams in understanding requirements, solution approaches, and technical best practices.
• Design and implement scalable and secure cloud architectures using AWS services.
• Build and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform.
• Support containerized application deployments using ECS/EKS.
• Collaborate with architects, business stakeholders, product owners, and engineering teams to deliver business solutions.
• Ensure adherence to development standards, cloud governance, security, and operational excellence.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, story refinement, and design reviews.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across application delivery and cloud engineering practices.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in Software Development and Cloud Engineering.
• Strong expertise in Java application development.
• Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud migration projects.
• Strong experience with AWS services including:
• S3
• ECS
• EKS
• DynamoDB
• Step Functions
• Lambda
• Strong knowledge of Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Experience with Ansible automation.
• Experience leading technical teams and mentoring developers.
• Strong experience in Agile methodologies and story grooming activities.
• Experience conducting technical assessments and Proof of Concepts (POCs).
• Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures and distributed systems.

• Databricks experience.

• AWS Lake Formation knowledge.
• Banking or Financial Services domain experience.
• DevOps and CI/CD implementation experience.
• Experience with Microservices architecture.
