Job Description Java (Primary) & Python (Secondary) Developer

Location: Gurugram  (Client Location)
Type: Full-Time (Permanent)
Shift Timing: 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM (4 Days WFO)

Role Overview: We are seeking a self-driven and experienced Java & Python Back-End Software Engineer with a solid foundation in enterprise-level development. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, takes initiative, and can solve problems independently without the need for constant supervision.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop scalable, secure RESTful APIs using Java, Python and Spring Boot.
• Write and optimize SQL queries using JDBC Template with Azure SQL or similar RDBMS.
• Develop and maintain unit tests; experience with TDD is an advantage.
• Work with message bus systems such as Kafka or Azure Service Bus.
• Apply Clean Code principles and ensure maintainable codebases.
• Tackle ADO tickets independently with smart, thoughtful solutions.
• Collaborate cross-functionally and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

Required Skills:

• Good Java development experience in enterprise environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring Data, and RESTful API design.
• Expertise in relational databases (Azure SQL preferred).
• Proficiency in JDBC Template for data access.
• Experience with unit testing frameworks and test-driven development.
• Hands-on with Kafka or Azure Service Bus for asynchronous processing.
• Solid knowledge of Clean Code principles and software design patterns.
• Good understanding of Git, Linux/Unix environments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Self-starter attitude — able to work independently with minimal supervision.
