ITSM Administrator

Role Summary

Supports the accuracy and day-to-day operation of the Configuration Management Database within HaloITSM. This role focuses on maintaining high quality CI data, validating discovery and integrations, and supporting change and configuration governance processes. The Jr CMDB Analyst works closely with the Change & CMDB Manager to ensure the CMDB reflects real world services, infrastructure, and dependencies.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine CI data entry, updates, and validation within HaloITSM.
• Review and maintain CI records created through discovery tools, asset imports, and integrations.
• Assist in building and maintaining CI relationships to support impact analysis, change management, and incident resolution.
• Support CMDB audits, reconciliation activities, and data quality checks using HaloITSM reporting and dashboards.
• Help prepare CMDB and change related reports for governance, audit, and compliance reviews.
• Collaborate with the Change & CMDB Manager to onboard new services, applications, or departments into HaloITSM.
• Support change workflows by validating affected CIs and ensuring change records are correctly linked.
• Document CMDB standards, procedures, and data models, and contribute to internal knowledge base articles.

Ideal Background

• 1 2 years of experience in IT operations, asset management, service desk, or technical support roles.
• Hands on experience working with a CMDB, including maintaining CI records, reviewing data quality, and understanding CI relationships.
• Familiarity with ITIL practices related to configuration and change management.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot data issues and inconsistencies.
• Comfortable working in an ITSM platform, with experience in HaloITSM or similar tools considered a strong plus.
• Clear written communication skills for documentation and knowledge base content.
