IT Systems Manager

Job Responsibilities

• Manage multiple projects and interface directly with clients from UK, USA and Canada
• Track tasks, issues and status of IT issues
• Monitoring daily operations, including server hardware, software, and operating systems.
• Coordinating technology installations, upgrades, and maintenance.
• Selecting and purchasing new and replacement hardware and software, when necessary.
• Monitor, maintain and manage Azure, AWS, Virtual and Physical servers
• Provide advice to product development team on software compatibility and architecture
• Maintaining SQL Server databases, performance, availability, integrity, security
• Security, awareness of current threats & mitigation, maintain security patching
• Maintain and implement IT Security Policies
• Co-ordinate with 1st line support team at the clients location
• Co-ordinate with the software development team to fix issues and release product updates
• Evaluating technology risks to develop a network disaster recovery plan and backup procedures.
• Remaining up to date with advances in technology and industry best practices.

Required Candidate profile

• Very good communication skills, with the ability to communicate directly with clients from UK, USA and Canada
• Good use of written and spoken English
• Ability to use initiative
• Ability to work alone and in a team
• Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer
• hardware/software systems
• Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and preferably experience of network installation
• Expert in Windows 2016+, MS SQL Servers, Windows Server Cluster and RDP Farm
• Good knowledge in Hyper-V and Linux servers
• Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks.
• Highly organized with attention to detail.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
