Job Description
Role Purpose
The role has a strong focus on SIEM implementation and operations, security topic follow-ups, and structured security documentation and continuously improving security services across the global IT landscape and working under the guidance of experienced security professionals. This role is intended as a hands-on, learning-oriented position with exposure to enterprise security operations, log management, and security process development.
Key Responsibilities
SIEM & Security Operations Support
- Support the implementation, configuration, and ongoing operation of the central SIEM solution (e.g. log onboarding, basic use of case validation, alert handling).
- Assist senior team members with log analysis, alert triage, and basic investigations, following established procedures and playbooks.
- Support day-to-day security operational tasks, including checks, follow-ups, and documentation updates.
Security Topic Coordination & Follow-up
- Support the senior security team in tracking, following up, and coordinating security-related topics with stakeholders.
- Act as a point of support for structured follow-ups on security findings, clarification requests, and defined action items.
- Ensure security topics are documented, traceable, and escalated when required.
- Check and track findings in the Office 365 Defender portal.
Documentation & Process Development
- Create, update, and maintain security documentation (e.g. procedures, runbooks, directives, checklists) under the guidance of senior team members.
- Support documentation related to SIEM processes, alert handling, and security operations in line with existing security directives and templates.
- Contribute to standardized, clear, and audit-ready documentation.
Learning, Research & Continuous Improvement
- Actively research security-related topics (SIEM, SOC processes, log management, detection concepts) and propose improvements.
- Stay informed about relevant security trends, tools, and best practices, and share findings with the team.
- Gradually take over more responsibility as experience and maturity increase.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical & Professional
- Junior to mid-level experience in IT, IT security, or related technical field.
- Basic understanding of IT security fundamentals (e.g. logging, monitoring, incidents, and access management).
- First exposure to SIEM, SOC, monitoring, or log analysis is an advantage.
- Basic understanding of Office 365 Defender security concepts.
- Comfortable working with technical documentation and structured processes.

- Strong motivation to learn and develop in the field of IT security.
- Proactive mindset with willingness to research topics independently.
- Structured, reliable, and detail-oriented working style.
- Good communication skills and ability to work with distributed, international teams
