Project Manager- IT Infrastructure & Cloud is responsible for delivering projects on time, within budget, and according to the agreed Scope of Work (SOW), while coordinating customers, sales, OEMs, vendors, and technical teams.

Project Manager – IT Infrastructure & Cloud




Purpose

To manage end-to-end IT infrastructure projects, ensuring successful implementation of servers, storage, networking, security, cloud, backup, virtualization, and managed services while maintaining customer satisfaction and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning

  • Review Purchase Order (PO), SOW, and customer requirements.
  • Define project scope, deliverables, milestones, and timelines.
  • Prepare project implementation plans.
  • Identify project risks and mitigation strategies.

2. Customer Coordination

  • Conduct project kick-off meetings.
  • Act as the single point of contact (SPOC) for customers.
  • Provide regular project status updates.
  • Manage customer expectations and change requests.

3. Internal Coordination

  • Coordinate with:
    • Sales Team
    • Technical Team
    • Procurement Team
    • Admin & Logistics
    • Accounts
  • Ensure all departments meet committed timelines.

4. Resource Management

  • Allocate engineers based on skill and availability.
  • Schedule onsite and remote implementation.
  • Monitor engineer productivity and utilization.

5. Vendor & OEM Management

  • Coordinate with OEMs such as:
    • VMware
    • Microsoft
    • Cisco
    • Dell Technologies
    • HPE
    • NetApp
    • Veeam
    • Azure
    • AWS
  • Track material deliveries and installation schedules.
  • Escalate delays when required.

6. Documentation

  • Review and maintain:
    • Scope of Work (SOW)
    • Bill of Materials (BOM)
    • High-Level Design (HLD)
    • Low-Level Design (LLD)
    • Method of Procedure (MOP)
    • Acceptance Test Plan (ATP)
    • UAT Documents
    • Project Closure Report
    • Sign-off Documents

7. Project Monitoring

  • Track project progress against milestones.
  • Monitor budgets and costs.
  • Control scope changes.
  • Escalate risks proactively.

8. Quality Assurance

  • Ensure implementation follows OEM best practices.
  • Verify documentation completeness.
  • Ensure successful testing before customer handover.

9. Financial Responsibility

  • Monitor project profitability.
  • Validate project-related expenses.
  • Coordinate billing milestones.
  • Support invoice collection after project completion.

10. Project Closure

  • Obtain customer sign-off.
  • Ensure documentation handover.
  • Conduct lessons learned meetings.
  • Transition the project to the Managed Services/Support team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, IT, or Computer Science.
  • 5–10 years of experience in IT infrastructure project management.
  • Experience with enterprise IT implementations.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or ITIL certification is an advantage.
