About the Role
We are looking for an experienced IT Manager to lead and manage our organizations IT infrastructure, systems, and support operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation combined with team management and vendor coordination experience, ensuring smooth, secure, and scalable IT operations across the company.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day IT operations including network, hardware, software, servers, and cloud infrastructure
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the IT support/helpdesk team, ensuring timely resolution of employee IT issues
  • Manage relationships with IT vendors, service providers, and negotiate contracts/SLAs
  • Drive IT projects such as system upgrades, migrations, automation, and new tool implementations
  • Manage IT budgets and cost optimization for infrastructure and tools
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (HR, Finance, Operations) to support their technology needs
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve efficiency and productivity
IT Asset Management
  • Own end-to-end lifecycle management of IT assets - procurement, allocation, tracking, maintenance, and decommissioning
  • Maintain an accurate, up-to-date IT asset register/inventory (laptops, desktops, mobiles, peripherals, licenses, servers)
  • Manage asset allocation and recovery process for new joiners, transfers, and exits (onboarding/offboarding)
  • Coordinate with Finance/Procurement for asset purchases, ensuring cost-effective vendor selection
  • Track software license compliance and renewals to avoid over/under-licensing
  • Implement and manage an IT Asset Management (ITAM) tool/system for tracking asset status, warranty, and depreciation
  • Conduct periodic physical audits of IT assets and reconcile with records
  • Manage AMC (Annual Maintenance Contracts) and warranty tracking for hardware
  • Define and enforce asset usage policies, including BYOD (if applicable) and data wipe/security protocols for returned devices
  • Ensure secure disposal of end-of-life IT assets in compliance with e-waste regulations
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 4-7 years of experience in IT management, systems administration, or infrastructure roles
  • Strong knowledge of networking, servers, and cloud platforms
  • Experience managing IT teams and helpdesk operations
  • Hands-on experience with IT asset management tools/processes and asset lifecycle management
  • Familiarity with ITIL practices and vendor management
  • Hands-on experience with Windows/Linux server environments, Active Directory, VPNs, and firewalls
  • Working knowledge of SaaS tools and endpoint management
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Certifications such as ITIL, CompTIA, CCNA, or cloud certifications (preferred, not mandatory)
Good to Have
  • Experience in a startup or fast-scaling company environment
  • Experience with automation/scripting for IT operations
  • Familiarity with ITAM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Freshservice, Lansweeper, ManageEngine)
