IT - Assistant Manager For Chemical Manufacturing Company

Role & responsibilities

We are looking for an Information Technology - Assistant Manager to manage IT infrastructure and support ISO 27001 (ISMS) implementation in a chemical manufacturing environment. The role involves ensuring secure IT systems, supporting plant operations, and maintaining compliance with industry and regulatory standards.

Job Location - Aundh, Pune

ISO 27001 & Compliance:

• Support implementation and maintenance of ISO 27001 ISMS framework
• Prepare and manage documentation (policies, procedures, risk assessments, asset registers)
• Conduct internal audits and coordinate with certification bodies
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and company data security requirements
• Perform risk assessment and implement security controls

Plant IT & Infrastructure Management:

• Manage IT systems for plant operations (ERP, production systems, lab systems)
• Maintain network connectivity across plant, office, and remote locations
• Handle servers, desktops, printers, CCTV's and industrial IT equipment
• Ensure uptime and reliability of IT systems in production environment

Cybersecurity & Data Protection:

• Monitor firewalls, antivirus, endpoint security, and access controls
• Implement backup and disaster recovery plans
• Handle incident response and vulnerability management
• Ensure secure data handling for production and compliance records

User Support & IT Operations:

• Provide technical support to plant and office staff
• Manage IT assets, licenses, and inventory
• Support onboarding/offboarding (user access, systems setup)
• Coordinate with vendors for IT procurement and AMC

Preferred candidate profile

• Knowledge of ISO 27001 and information security practices mandatory
• Experience in manufacturing/plant IT environment preferred
• Basic networking, firewall, and server management
• Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP or similar is a plus)
• Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills

• ISO 27001 Internal Auditor / Lead Implementer certification
