Investment Banking & product control

Brief Job Description:

• Fair understanding IB products and their life cycles
• Front to back understanding of data flows and system architecture
• Basis understanding of greeks, PnL attributes and valuation models
• PnL Reporting and Commentary write-up at group level
• Balance sheet substantiation, investigation and commentary
• Basis knowledge on different types of accounting IFRS, Fair Value
• Understanding of different Accounting standards and GAAPs
• Understanding of instrument statics and associated hierarchy
• Hands on experience in handling 10+ team members with good management skills
• Communication and escalation to offshore / onshore management
• Good accounting knowledge & specific in product control is a key

Work Experience and Skills required:

• 6-7 years of experience
• Domain knowledge in the area of product control like Equities & Fixed Income
• Excellent oral & written communication
• Demonstrate flexibility and manage time-zone differences effectively
• Ability to ensure and deliver timeliness and quality of output
• Strong in Microsoft Excel
• Client and people handling experience
• Part of the role would be hands-on work on deliverables and review of tasks
• Timely completion of all deliverables as per client expectations

Good to Have:

• Experience in P&L validation & Reporting for an Investment Bank
• Understanding of valuations for equity products
• Experience in reconciliation from trader system to general ledger or P&L reports
• Experience in Trading through a brokerage firm
• Static data management experience would be an add-on
