The Centre of Excellence for Urban Transport (CoE-UT) at CEPT Research and Development Foundation (CRDF) works with government agencies, urban local bodies, and other stakeholders on projects related to urban transport planning, policy, and implementation. The Centre undertakes field-based research, data-driven studies, and advisory support for sustainable urban mobility.

ROLE OVERVIEW

The intern will support the CoE-UT team in the planning, monitoring, and execution of ongoing survey-based studies, along with related data management, analysis, and coordination activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Support the monitoring and management of field surveys, including planning, scheduling, and tracking survey
progress

Coordinate with field surveyors/enumerators to ensure timely and quality data collection

Carry out data punching of survey/field data into designated formats and systems

Perform data cleaning, validation, and analysis to support project deliverables

Coordinate with clients on day-to-day project requirements and deliverables

Support stakeholder discussions and meetings, including preparation of notes and follow-ups

Assist the project team with any other related tasks as required

DESIRED SKILLS QUALIFICATIONS

Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Urban Planning, Transport Planning, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field

Good working knowledge of MS Excel; familiarity with data analysis tools is an advantage

Strong attention to detail and comfort with structured data entry

Good communication skills for client and stakeholder coordination

Willingness to travel for field-based survey monitoring, as required

DURATION COMPENSATION

Duration: 6 weeks
