Job Description


We are seeking an Intensivist in our state-of-the-art critical care unit. This role offers an opportunity to deliver life-saving care, collaborate with leading medical professionals, and advance your expertise in a dynamic and patient-focused environment.

Qualifications

  • Either (a) MD in Medicine or Anaesthesia with 1-2 years of experience in critical care, or (b) MD with fellowship in critical care
  • 0-5 years experience in critical care of a reputed hospital

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive medical care, including routine and emergency coverage, in the critical care unit.
  • Perform critical care procedures such as central line insertion, IV channelization, and intubation, and operate critical care equipment such as ventilators.
  • Ensure adherence to clinical safety, hygiene, and infection control protocols.
  • Monitor and manage critically ill patients, including responding promptly to changes in their condition and reporting complex health issues to the concerned consultant.
  • Participate in daily rounds independently or alongside consultants, following up on patient care plans and implementing necessary changes.
  • Prepare accurate and detailed treatment sheets, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Assist in the assessment of new admissions to the ICU and manage pain relief protocols where required.
  • Follow the department s on-call and duty schedule as assigned.
