The ideal candidate should have strong experience in EdTech inside sales and should be comfortable taking direct accountability for revenue.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute monthly, quarterly and annual sales strategies.
  • Take complete ownership of revenue targets and sales performance.
  • Create category-wise and counsellor-wise sales targets.
  • Identify opportunities to improve lead conversion, average order value and revenue.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to align campaigns with sales requirements.

Funnel and Lead Management

  • Monitor every stage of the sales funnel, including lead assignment, first contact, follow-ups, counselling, demo classes, payment and enrolment.
  • Define lead follow-up processes and ensure timely action on every lead.
  • Improve lead-to-demo, demo-to-sale and overall lead-to-enrolment conversion rates.
  • Analyse lead quality across campaigns, courses, geographies and marketing channels.
  • Ensure proper lead segmentation, prioritisation and remarketing.
  • Minimise lead leakage and improve the utilisation of existing leads.

Team Leadership

  • Hire, train, manage and mentor Business Development Executives and Academic Counsellors.
  • Set daily, weekly and monthly targets for the sales team.
  • Conduct daily sales reviews, call audits, pipeline reviews and performance discussions.
  • Coach team members on counselling, objection handling, follow-ups and closing.
  • Develop scripts, sales pitches, WhatsApp templates and follow-up frameworks.
  • Build a performance-driven culture with clear accountability.
  • Create performance improvement plans for underperforming team members.

Sales Operations and CRM

  • Ensure complete and accurate usage of the CRM by the sales team.
  • Define lead stages, follow-up workflows, call dispositions and sales processes.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and revenue projections.

  • Build dashboards for management reporting.
  • Track team productivity, call performance, follow-ups, conversions and revenue.
  • Coordinate with the product, marketing, finance and academic teams for smooth student onboarding.

Process and Automation

  • Build standard operating procedures for the entire inside sales function.
  • Implement automated lead distribution, reminders, follow-up sequences and remarketing workflows.
  • Improve sales productivity through CRM, calling tools, WhatsApp automation and reporting systems.
  • Continuously test new sales pitches, offers, demo strategies and conversion processes.
  • Develop a scalable sales system that can support Veda Academys growth across multiple exam categories.

Key Performance Indicators

The candidate will be evaluated on:

  • Monthly revenue achieved
  • Percentage of sales target achieved
  • Lead-to-enrolment conversion rate
  • Connected lead-to-enrolment conversion rate
  • Demo class booking and conversion rate
  • Follow-up completion rate
  • Revenue per sales executive
