Location: Pune, India (Hybrid)
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Manager Data Governance (SAP) to drive the implementation of data governance across SAP-driven Supply Chain and Commercial business processes. In this individual contributor role, you will lead data governance initiatives, collaborate with global stakeholders, and ensure high-quality master data, standardized processes, and successful SAP transformation projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead data governance projects from requirements gathering through implementation and hypercare.
- Partner with business stakeholders, SAP consultants, IT teams, and external partners to deliver governance initiatives.
- Define data standards, business rules, ownership models, approval workflows, and governance controls.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, and process improvements.
- Support governance for Material, Customer, Supplier, Purchasing, Sales, and Organizational master data.
- Coordinate testing, rollout, training, and change management activities.
- Drive data quality improvements, root cause analysis, KPI tracking, and continuous process optimization.
- Contribute to SAP S/4HANA, SAP MDG, automation, and digital transformation initiatives.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.
- Several years of experience in SAP Consulting, Master Data Management, Data Governance, or Business Process Management.
- Strong knowledge of SAP MM and/or SAP SD with understanding of end-to-end business processes (Source-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, etc.).
- Experience with SAP master data including Material, Customer, Supplier/Vendor, Business Partner, and Organizational Data.
- Exposure to SAP S/4HANA; experience with SAP MDG is highly preferred.
- Strong project management, stakeholder management, and workshop facilitation skills.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, or similar project management tools.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent English is required.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of SAP Business Partner, BRF+, workflows, validation rules, Celonis, Power BI, SAP BW, Databricks, or Data Quality/Data Catalog tools.
