SUMMARY:
The role requires a highly experienced Network SME with deep expertise in Cisco SD-WAN, SD-Access, DNA Center (Catalyst Center), Cisco ACI, and Wireless technologies. The individual will be responsible for end-to-end design, deployment, migration, operations, and Tier-3 support of large-scale enterprise networks, while actively engaging with client stakeholders, driving complex troubleshooting, and ensuring secure, resilient, and scalable network solutions.
Roles Responsibilities:
Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for end-to-end design, deployment, configuration, and operational support of Cisco SD-WAN components:
vManage, vSmart, vBond, WAN Edge (ISR, ASR, vEdge, cEdge)
Lead large-scale branch onboarding and migration from MPLS to Internet/Hybrid WAN
Troubleshoot complex overlay, control plane, and data plane issues
Manage traffic forwarding, QoS, encryption, and intelligent path selection
Engage with client SMEs and stakeholders to:
Provide technical inputs, Review architecture and design, Execute and validate design changes
Configure and optimize: Application-Aware Routing (AAR), Centralized control, data, and application policies, Traffic engineering and failover mechanisms
Provide Tier-3 / SME-level operational support for Cisco SD-WAN and SD-Access environments
Lead and drive complex troubleshooting calls to resolution with strong technical and communication skills
Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for critical network incidents
Develop, maintain, and update: Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Runbooks and troubleshooting guides
Design and deploy Cisco SD-Access fabric architecture
Configure and manage: Fabric Edge, Control Plane, and Border Nodes
Layer 2 / Layer 3 Virtual Networks (VNs), Scalable Group Tags (SGTs) and policy-based segmentation
Implement identity-based access control using Cisco ISE
Integrate SD-Access with: Wireless infrastructure (Cisco Catalyst 9800 / AireOS), Campus switching (Cisco Catalyst 9000 series)
Troubleshoot fabric issues related to: Policy enforcement, Endpoint onboarding, Fabric connectivity
Design and implement Cisco ACI fabric architecture, including spineleaf topology
Deploy and configure: APIC controllers, Spine and leaf switches
Perform fabric provisioning and underlay/overlay configuration
Configure ACI constructs: EPGs, VRFs, Bridge Domains, Contracts and Filters
Implement policy-based automation for security and connectivity
Troubleshoot ACI fabric connectivity issues (VXLAN, spine/leaf, overlay)
Provide advanced troubleshooting for Cisco Wireless, including:
RF interference and performance issues, Controller and AP configuration, Roaming problems, Security/authentication failures (802.1X, WPA2/WPA3)
Client connectivity and onboarding issues
Cisco DNA Center / Catalyst Center
Deploy, configure, and maintain Cisco DNA Center (Catalyst Center)
Utilize DNA Center for: Fabric automation and provisioning, Policy configuration and assurance, Network analytics and health monitoring
Manage software upgrades, image lifecycle, and backups
Customize workflows and integrate with external systems using APIs where required
Support change management, planned maintenance windows, and software/hardware upgrades
Ensure adherence to enterprise security, availability, and compliance standards
Professional Technical Skills:
Strong expertise in Cisco SD-WAN, SD-Access, DNA Center, ACI, and Wireless
Proven experience with large enterprise network designs and migrations
Advanced skills in network troubleshooting, diagnostics, and RCA
Excellent understanding of:
QoS, encryption, routing, policy-based segmentation
Fabric-based and software-defined networking
Strong stakeholder communication and design review capabilities
Ability to lead high-impact incident and troubleshooting bridge calls
The candidate should have minimum 7.5 years of experience in Network Engineering Planning and Deployment Solution.
This position is based at our Pune office.
