Job Description

Role & responsibilities

  • Design and lead enterprise infrastructure architecture across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
  • Develop scalable, secure, highly available, and cost-effective infrastructure solutions.
  • Lead cloud migration, infrastructure modernization, virtualization, and data center transformation initiatives.
  • Create HLD/LLD, architecture diagrams, technical standards, and implementation roadmaps.
  • Design networking, compute, storage, virtualization, HA/DR, backup, and business continuity solutions.
  • Drive infrastructure automation using Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, Python, and CI/CD.
  • Establish standards for infrastructure security, monitoring, capacity, performance, and governance.
  • Evaluate new infrastructure and cloud technologies and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Collaborate with Cloud, DevOps, Security, Network, Application, and Enterprise Architecture teams.
  • Provide technical leadership, architecture reviews, mentoring, and resolution of complex infrastructure issues.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, cloud engineering, systems administration, or infrastructure architecture.
  • Strong expertise in AWS, Azure, GCP, VMware, Hyper-V, Windows Server, Linux, and enterprise infrastructure.
  • Strong networking knowledge covering Cisco, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, SD-WAN, load balancers, and firewalls.
  • Proven experience with cloud migration, hybrid cloud, virtualization, HA/DR, backup, disaster recovery, and data center technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell/Python, CI/CD, Git, Jenkins, and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, microservices, IAM/RBAC, security, monitoring, and observability.
  • Strong understanding of HLD/LLD, enterprise architecture, capacity planning, governance, and cost optimization.
  • Experience with ITIL/ITSM, incident/change management, vendor management, and infrastructure projects.
  • Excellent technical leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Certifications such as AWS/Azure/GCP Architect, VMware, CCNP/CCIE, CKA, Terraform, or ITIL are an advantage.
