Shift Timing: 2:00 PM 11:00 PM IST

Location: Remote / Hybrid / 15 days in 6 months in the office

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Information Security Engineer to strengthen our security posture by designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-grade security controls across applications, cloud infrastructure, and corporate systems.

The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in cloud security, application security, vulnerability management, and incident response while ensuring compliance with industry best practices and security standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve the organization's information security strategy, policies, and standards.
• Monitor and protect enterprise infrastructure, applications, and cloud environments against cyber threats.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, security audits, and penetration testing coordination.
• Investigate security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and lead incident response activities.
• Design and implement security controls for cloud infrastructure, applications, and endpoints.
• Review and enforce Secure Software Development Life Cycle (Secure SDLC) practices across engineering teams.
• Work closely with development, DevOps, IT, and product teams to ensure security is integrated throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Configure and manage firewalls, endpoint protection, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and security monitoring tools.
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery, business continuity, and incident response procedures.
• Keep abreast of evolving cybersecurity threats, industry trends, compliance requirements, and data privacy regulations.
• Recommend and implement automation to improve security monitoring, compliance, and operational efficiency.
• Prepare security reports, risk assessments, and remediation plans for leadership.

Required Skills & Experience

• 4–6 years of experience in Information Security, Cyber Security, Security Engineering, or Infrastructure Security.
• Strong understanding of Information Security principles and best practices.
• Hands-on experience with:
• Vulnerability Assessment & Management
• Incident Response
• Security Monitoring
• Endpoint Security
• Firewalls
• Intrusion Detection & Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS)
• Strong knowledge of:
• OWASP Top 10
• Malware Analysis
• Secure SDLC
• Identity & Access Management (IAM)
• Network Security
• Experience securing Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments, including IAM, networking, and access controls.
• Familiarity with SIEM solutions, security logging, and threat detection tools.
• Experience developing security policies, standards, and operational procedures.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred candidate profile

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Google Cloud Security services.
• Knowledge of ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, or similar security frameworks.
• Experience with vulnerability scanning tools such as Nessus, Qualys, or OpenVAS.
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or Bash for security automation.
• Security certifications such as CEH, Security+, CISSP, CCSP, GCP Security Engineer, or equivalent are an added advantage.
