Information Security Engineer

Position: Security Engineer IT

Location: Mumbai

Qualifications and Certifications: Bachelors degree in computer science or information technology.

Relevant industry certifications such as:

• Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
• CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
• CompTIA Security+
• CCNA

Practical experience with: Endpoint security solutions (EDR/XDR platforms)

Thorough understanding of: Network security principles (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs)

Application security and OWASP Top 10 Firewall

Security standards and frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls)

Roles and Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the external SOC team to monitor and respond to security alerts promptly
• Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing for networks, systems, and applications both internally and externally
• Oversee and monitor endpoint protection solutions (Antivirus, EDR, DLP)
• Ensure compliance of all endpoints with security policies and standards
• Investigate and address endpoint-related threats
• Maintain patch management and system hardening practices
• Develop and enforce IT security policies, procedures, and standards
• Ensure adherence to industry standards (ISO 27001)
• Manage firewalls, IDS/IPS, and network security measures
• Monitor network traffic for unusual activity and potential threats
• Keep logs and produce security reports
• Conduct risk assessments and security audits
