Information Security Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Monitor events and triage alerts across various security platforms
• Identify and resolve false positive findings reported by information security tools
• Perform Level-1 incident response and basic computer forensic activities
• Monitor email and ticketing systems for security-related issues and coordinate with internal teams until resolution
• Stay updated with the latest cybersecurity threats, adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs)
• Research emerging security threats, trends, and preventive security measures
• Provide operational support for security tool alerts, maintenance, and triaging
• Execute security activities related to:
• Vulnerability Management
• Application Security
• Business Continuity
• Risk Management
• Network Security
• Conduct periodic access reviews and take appropriate actions
• Assess security controls and evaluate organizational security posture
• Evaluate third-party vendors and partners for compliance with security standards
• Collaborate with IT and business teams to develop and improve security programs
• Support implementation of information security projects and initiatives
• Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for assigned security-related activities
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive security information
• Coordinate effectively within the security operations team during shift handovers
• Work in additional shift timings if required
• Adhere to organizational information security policies and guidelines

Eligibility Criteria

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Information Security / Cybersecurity operations

Education

• Bachelors degree in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field preferred

Certifications (Preferred)

• CompTIA Security+
• CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker)
• Other cybersecurity certifications are an added advantage

Preferred candidate profile

• Experience in SOC/Security Operations environments
• Hands-on experience with SIEM tools and endpoint security solutions
• Good understanding of incident response and vulnerability management
• Ability to collaborate across teams and departments
• Flexible and adaptable to evolving cybersecurity requirements
