About the Role
We are seeking an Informatica PowerCenter Developer with 4 - 9 years of experience in ETL development, Linux scripting, and database (SQL/PLSQL) knowledge. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying ETL solutions to support data integration and business intelligence initiatives.
Responsibilities
- ETL Development (Informatica PowerCenter)
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL mappings, workflows, and sessions.
- Optimize ETL processes for performance and scalability.
- Handle incremental loads, full loads, and data transformation logic.
- Ensure error handling, logging, and recovery mechanisms are in place.
- Requirement Analysis & Design
- Work with business analysts to gather and analyze requirements.
- Translate business requirements into technical ETL specifications.
- Create high-level and low-level design documents.
- Database Development (SQL/PLSQL)
- Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
- Perform data validation and reconciliation to ensure data accuracy.
- Troubleshoot database-related performance issues.
- Linux/Unix Scripting
- Develop and maintain shell scripts for automation of ETL job execution.
- Monitor jobs, manage scheduling (Control-M/Autosys/Crontab).
- Debug and resolve issues in batch processing environments.
- Testing & Deployment
- Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing.
- Migrate code across environments (Dev Test Prod).
- Participate in release management and deployment activities.
- Support & Maintenance
- Provide production support for ETL jobs and workflows.
- Perform root cause analysis for failures and implement permanent fixes.
- Monitor system performance and propose enhancements.
- Documentation & Collaboration
- Maintain technical documentation of ETL processes.
- Collaborate with DBAs, system admins, and business users.
- Follow Agile/Waterfall SDLC practices and participate in daily stand-ups
Qualifications
Informatica - Certified, with hands-on experience in TD or HD & Orcl any one Mandatory
