Job Title: Informatica Developer (36 Years Experience)

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Informatica Developer with 3–6 years of experience in designing, developing, and supporting enterprise data integration and ETL solutions. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Informatica PowerCenter, SQL, data warehousing concepts, and database technologies. The candidate will work closely with business analysts, data architects, and application teams to build scalable, high-quality ETL solutions that support business reporting and analytics.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy ETL workflows using Informatica PowerCenter.
• Develop mappings, mapplets, sessions, workflows, reusable transformations, and worklets based on business requirements.
• Extract, transform, and load data from multiple heterogeneous data sources into enterprise data warehouses.
• Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Analyze source systems and prepare source-to-target mapping (STTM) documents.
• Optimize ETL jobs for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Troubleshoot ETL failures and resolve production issues within defined SLAs.
• Perform impact analysis for enhancements and production changes.
• Collaborate with business users, data architects, QA teams, and database administrators throughout the project lifecycle.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and best practices.
• Support production deployments and post-production activities.
• Prepare technical design documents and maintain ETL documentation.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

Required Skills

ETL Development

• Strong hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter.
• Experience developing mappings, workflows, sessions, worklets, reusable transformations, and parameter files.
• Good understanding of ETL architecture and data integration methodologies.

Database Skills

• Strong SQL programming skills.
• Experience working with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or DB2.
• Ability to write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, joins, views, and performance-tuned queries.

Data Warehousing

• Good understanding of Data Warehouse concepts.
• Experience with Star Schema and Snowflake Schema.
• Knowledge of Dimension and Fact tables.
• Familiarity with Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD Type 1 & Type 2).
• Understanding of data modeling concepts.

Performance Optimization

• Experience optimizing Informatica mappings and workflows.
• Knowledge of partitioning, pushdown optimization, caching, and performance tuning techniques.
• Ability to improve ETL throughput and reduce execution time.

Data Quality

• Experience performing data reconciliation and validation.
• Knowledge of exception handling and error logging.
• Ability to identify and resolve data quality issues.

Scheduling & Monitoring

• Experience monitoring ETL jobs and workflows.
• Familiarity with job scheduling tools such as Control-M, Autosys, or Informatica Scheduler.
• Ability to investigate and resolve batch failures.

Version Control & Deployment

• Experience using Git, SVN, or other version control systems.
• Knowledge of release management and deployment processes.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS) is an added advantage.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of Unix/Linux shell scripting.
• Experience with Python scripting for automation is a plus.
• Familiarity with Hadoop, Hive, or Spark is desirable.
• Exposure to data migration and modernization projects.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 3–6 years of relevant experience in Informatica ETL development.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and ETL development lifecycle.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
