Job Summary :

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Python Developer with 6+ years of experience in building scalable backend applications and cloud-native solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Python (FastAPI), AWS Cloud, microservices, Docker/Kubernetes, and end-to-end CI/CD implementation. You will be responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining enterprise-grade backend services while collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance RESTful APIs using Python and FastAPI.

- Develop scalable backend applications following microservices architecture and industry best practices.

- Design and implement secure, reliable, and highly available cloud-native solutions on AWS.

- Build and maintain backend services, integrations, and data processing workflows.

- Design database schemas and optimize application performance for high-volume systems.

- Develop reusable, maintainable, and well-documented code.

- Write unit, integration, and performance tests to ensure application quality.

- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes.

- Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural and technical design discussions.

- Work closely with Product Owners, QA, DevOps, and other engineering teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

- Maintain technical documentation and follow Agile development practices using Jira and Confluence.

End-to-End CI/CD Responsibilities :

- Design, implement, and manage end-to-end CI/CD pipelines for backend applications.

- Automate code build, testing, security scanning, packaging, and deployments across development, QA, staging, and production environments.

- Configure and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Bitbucket Pipelines.

- Build automated deployment strategies such as Blue-Green, Canary, and Rolling Deployments.

- Integrate automated unit, API, and integration testing into deployment pipelines.

- Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS/ECS).

- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.

- Monitor pipeline health, optimize deployment processes, and troubleshoot release failures.

- Implement DevSecOps best practices, including code quality checks, vulnerability scanning, and compliance automation.

- Ensure reliable, scalable, and zero/minimal downtime deployments.

Required Technical Skills :

1. Programming Languages & Frameworks :

- Python 3.x

- FastAPI (Mandatory)

- Flask or Django

- SQLAlchemy

- Celery

- REST API Development

- Microservices Architecture

2. AWS Cloud :

- Hands-on experience with : AWS Lambda, API Gateway, EC2, ECS / EKS, AWS Fargate, Amazon S3, RDS (PostgreSQL/MySQL), DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, CloudWatch, IAM, VPC, AWS Secrets Manager, AWS Glue (Preferred)

3. DevOps & CI/CD :

- End-to-end CI/CD implementation

- Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Bitbucket Pipelines, GitLab CI (Good to Have)

- Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, AWS CloudFormation

- AWS CodePipeline & CodeBuild (Preferred), SonarQube, Nexus/Artifactory (Preferred)

4. Databases :

- PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Amazon Redshift (Preferred)

5. Testing & API Tools :

- Pytest, Unit Testing, Integration Testing, Performance Testing, Swagger / OpenAPI, Postman

6. Version Control & Collaboration :

- Git, GitHub, Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence

7. Operating Systems & Scripting :

- Linux / Unix, Shell Scripting (Bash), Basic Groovy (Preferred)

Required Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.

- 6+ years of hands-on experience in Python backend development.

- Strong experience developing REST APIs using FastAPI.

- Proven experience designing and deploying applications on AWS.

- Hands-on experience implementing end-to-end CI/CD pipelines.

- Strong knowledge of containerization using Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes (EKS/ECS).

- Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases.

- Strong understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and secure coding practices.

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Preferred Qualifications :

- AWS Certified Developer Associate or AWS Solutions Architect certification.

- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation).

- Experience with event-driven architectures.

- Exposure to ETL/data engineering tools such as AWS Glue or Apache Airflow.

- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
