Impact Analytics - Lead Python Developer - Django/Flask (7-11 yrs)

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the architecture, design, and development of scalable backend applications using Python.

- Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using frameworks such as Django, Flask, and FastAPI.

- Design highly available, fault-tolerant, and distributed systems capable of handling large-scale workloads.

- Collaborate with Data Science, AI/ML, Product, and DevOps teams to integrate AI-powered capabilities into business applications.

- Define and implement software design patterns, coding standards, and engineering best practices.

- Optimize application performance, scalability, reliability, and security.

- Develop efficient database models and integrate applications with multiple data sources.

- Implement caching mechanisms, messaging systems, and asynchronous processing pipelines.

- Conduct code reviews, provide technical guidance, and mentor junior and mid-level developers.

- Drive technical discussions, architectural decisions, and solution design reviews.

- Participate in sprint planning, estimation, and Agile development processes.

- Troubleshoot production issues and ensure timely resolution of technical challenges.

- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automation initiatives to improve development efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Technical Skills :

- Strong expertise in Python development with 7+ years of hands-on experience.

- Extensive experience with Python frameworks such as :

i. Django

ii. Flask

iii. FastAPI

- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and software design principles.

- Experience designing and developing REST APIs and microservices architectures.

- Strong knowledge of software design patterns and scalable system architecture.

- Hands-on experience with ORM frameworks such as :

i. SQLAlchemy

ii. Django ORM

iii. Peewee or similar frameworks

- Experience integrating applications with multiple databases and external data sources.

- Proficiency in relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or Cassandra.

- Experience with caching technologies such as Redis or Memcached.

- Knowledge of messaging and event-driven architectures using Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS, or similar platforms.

- Familiarity with key-value stores and distributed data systems.

- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

- Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

- Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.

Leadership Skills :

- Experience leading engineering teams and mentoring developers.

- Ability to drive technical decision-making and architecture discussions.
