Role & responsibilities

• Assess the nutritional status of inpatients and outpatients through dietary evaluations, medical history reviews, and clinical assessments.
• Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans based on patients' medical conditions, nutritional requirements, and treatment goals.
• Provide dietary counseling and education to patients and their families on disease-specific nutrition management and healthy eating practices.
• Monitor patients' nutritional progress and modify diet plans as required in consultation with the treating physicians and healthcare team.
• Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure appropriate nutritional care and support for patients.
• Conduct nutritional screening and risk assessments for admitted patients and initiate timely interventions.
• Ensure therapeutic diets are accurately prescribed and communicated to the food service department for proper meal preparation and delivery.
• Maintain accurate patient records, nutrition assessments, counseling notes, and diet plans in compliance with hospital policies.
• Participate in clinical rounds, multidisciplinary meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and hospital accreditation activities.
• Stay updated with current nutrition research, clinical guidelines, and best practices to provide evidence-based nutritional care.

Preferred candidate profile

• Candidate should have good communication.
• Qualification - B.sc Clinical Nutrition & Dietetics
• Experience - 2 to 4 years
