Overview

ICL Systems, also known as International Computers Limited, was a large British computer hardware, software and services company. It was formed in 1968 by merging International Computers and Tabulators (ICT) and English Electric Computers. For many years it was the largest computer company in Europe, and it received substantial government support to compete with IBM. ICL was acquired by Fujitsu in 1990 and renamed Fujitsu Services in 2002.
