Role Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver engaging, inquiry-based lessons aligned with IBDP Psychology syllabus, with focused mentorship on IA, EE, and TOK.
  • Guide students through the research, writing, and reflection processes of their Extended Essay and Internal Assessment providing structured feedback and milestone tracking.
  • Facilitate TOK seminars that challenge students to critically evaluate knowledge, perspectives, and assumptions across disciplines.
  • Collaborate with cross-curricular teams to integrate TOK concepts into Psychology units and support interdisciplinary learning.
  • Assess student work using IB criteria, ensuring consistency, clarity, and rigor in feedback and grading.
  • Mentor students on academic integrity, research ethics, and time management especially during high-stakes IB components.

Skills Qualifications

  • Must-Have
    • IBDP certified or currently teaching IB Psychology (minimum 2 years)
    • Proven experience mentoring students on IA, EE, or TOK (ideally all three)
    • Strong command of IB assessment criteria and rubric-based grading
    • Experience with inquiry-based pedagogy and student-centered learning
    • Fluency in English; clear, articulate communication for academic mentoring
    • Proficiency in digital tools for feedback (Turnitin, Google Classroom, ManageBac)
  • Preferred
    • Experience as an EE or TOK Coordinator
    • Training in IB workshop facilitation or curriculum development
    • Background in cognitive, developmental, or sociocultural psychology subfields
