HVAC Project Engineer

Role & responsibilities

1. Project Execution & Supervision

• Execute HVAC installations as per approved drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate with civil, electrical, plumbing, and BMS teams for seamless integration.
• Ensure daily site progress in line with the project schedule.

2. Technical Expertise

• Interpret HVAC layouts, schematic diagrams, and technical submittals.
• Hands-on expertise in ducting, piping, insulation, AHU/FCU/ Chillers/ VRV/VRF installation and controls.
• Ensure adherence to ISHRAE, ASHRAE, and NBC standards.

3. Quality & Safety

• Conduct quality checks and ensure installation as per design and quality standards.
• Implement safety measures and ensure site compliance with EHS norms.

4. Commissioning & Testing

• Lead testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of HVAC systems.
• Coordinate with OEMs and vendors for equipment commissioning.
• Prepare commissioning protocols and test reports.

5. Client & Consultant Coordination

• Interact with client engineers, consultants, and PMC for site updates and approvals.
• Attend review meetings and ensure closure of inspection points (IRs/SATs).

6. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain Daily Progress Reports (DPR), site material tracking, and manpower logs.
• Submit Work Inspection Requests (WIRs), checklists, and as-built drawings.

7. Team Management

• To handle the site supervisors for smooth functioning at site.

Qualification

• B.Tech/ITI in Mechanical Engineering or Refrigeration & Air Conditioning.
