Hiring Python Automation with VxLAN

Job Description: Network Automation Engineer –

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, implement, and support data center fabric architectures with a focus on VXLAN, EVPN, and BGP technologies.

- Develop and maintain automation frameworks and test automation using Python programming.

- Utilize REST APIs for network automation and integration tasks.

- Perform log parsing and analysis to support network troubleshooting and validation.

- Leverage AI coding tools such as Cursor, Codex, Claude, GitHub Copilot, or equivalent to enhance automation and development efficiency.

- Apply strong understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking fundamentals including VLANs, Spanning Tree Protocol (STP), port channels, ARP, MAC learning, IPv4, IPv6, BGP, OSPF, and routing/switching behaviors.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless fabric deployment and operational excellence.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Domain Expertise:

- In-depth knowledge of VXLAN, EVPN, BGP, and data center fabric architectures.

- Strong understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking protocols and behaviors.

Programming and Automation:

- Hands-on experience with Python programming for test automation and automation frameworks.

- Proficiency in using REST APIs for network automation.

- Experience with log parsing and analysis.

 AI Tools Familiarity:

- Practical experience with AI coding tools such as Cursor, Codex, Claude, GitHub Copilot, or similar.

 Networking Fundamentals:

- Solid grasp of VLANs, STP, port channels, ARP, MAC learning, IPv4, IPv6, BGP, OSPF, and routing/switching behavior.

 Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with Cisco Nexus 9000 series switches and Nexus Dashboard Fabric Controller.

- Familiarity with automation tools and frameworks such as Ansible, Terraform, pyATS, and Genie.

- Knowledge of AI/ML integration in network automation and monitoring.

– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on operational stability and automation.
